Vision Talks - A Letter from Your Elders and Evangelists |

“...God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.’”
- Acts 2:17
Brothers and Sisters,
God promises that upon receiving His Spirit, His children will see visions
and dream dreams! What an inspirational passage for all of us! We all
became Christians believing that God had a vision for our lives. As years
pass, sometimes our spiritual dreaming begins to fade. It is at those
times, our vision needs to be renewed.
As we approach a new year and a new decade, we believe that it would be
beneficial for everyone in the Coastal LA Region to have an annual
"Vision Talk", a personal conversation with a few others to reflect on the
past and pray and dream for the future. We have put together a
worksheet to give everyone some time to look at selected passages
(during your times with God) and reflect on them. We suggest that you
take at least a day to pray and reflect on each section. Please take some
time to journal your thoughts and answers.
Then in the coming weeks, you will be contacted to set a time to meet
with you and another person from your small group to have this Vision
Talk. We anticipate these Vision Talks to be times of powerful
encouragement, inspiration, conviction, and spiritual acceleration for
the New Year. This is to be an opportunity for you to share your answers
in order to receive greater help and encouragement. We desire to receive
feedback from you on any other ways that God's Family can strengthen
you spiritually. We also want you to have a better sense of where we are
going as God's Family. Most of all, we have the same passion as God's,
"who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the
truth."
We believe that everybody has something to contribute to God's family
using their gifts and talents, and so we are asking for every member to
think of one specific way in which they can serve. Please download this list of serving opportunities to let us know how you are
currently serving and/or would like to serve in the coming year.
We look forward to all the visions that God will make a reality in 2010.
